I can deal with the Tampon aisle. It's the Depends aisle that makes me feel weird.

Both aisles are not complicated, you just have to know the key parameters.
Oil: correct weight (0W20 and 15W40 are not interchangeable...), type (synthetic or not), quantity (by volume), and brand preference (if applicable)
Tampons: correct weight (light, regular, super, etc.), type (sport, scented, etc.), quantity (by count), and brand preference
If we're going to talk about complicated, take a look at the cereal aisle.

Yeah but cereal is mostly universal as far as sex is concerned, and pretty much everyone has tasted each flavor once in their lives, and has a favorite. Much like.... tampons. Umm..
